Our client is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer in Anaheim, CA.

Role description

• Responsible for the success of regional network services. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Utilizes creativity and initiative in exploring alternative means of completing assignments.
• Closely collaborates with the network delivery services and L1 infrastructure services department in defining and documenting services and associated service levels to ensure a consistent delivery model for network services in local region including required training to support new technologies.
• Implement technical aspects of the network facilities strategy, architecture, design, and documenting/communicating roadmaps and standards as well as participates in all physical network infrastructure (cabling, cabinets, HVAC, GPON, UPS, etc.) related matters and technology.
• Demonstrate technical acumen, business acumen, strong communication skills and professional maturity in representing the department in business discussions.
• Demonstrates proficiency in designing network environments and working with groups of teams towards a common objective.
• Conducts capacity planning surveys to ensure technical and operational models meet overall building and business requirements.
• Researches technologies and products and meets with vendor, addresses technical issues/deficiencies and influence new products and services to meet growing and changing requirements
• Night and weekend work will be required from time to time as required in support of project requirements.
• Network infrastructure
o Understand TCP/IP network on routers and switches.
o Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment
o LAN overall troubleshooting experiences
o Troubleshooting network related issues (HSRP, Spanning Tree, etc.,)
o Knowledge of fibers cabling (Single Mode, Multimode) and Ethernet.
o Function of PoE and how to troubleshoot PoE devices connected to the switch

Skills & Requirements

• Basic Qualifications. Indicate MINIMUM level of education required, plus the field of study.
• BS degree in Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent
• Previous work in technical related area. 2-3 years' experience in design and network support functions
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and successfully completes in a timely manner.
• Prioritization & time management skills required to manage various projects & tasts concurrently & efficiently.
• Strong communication and relationship skills, with emphasis in the ability to articulate advanced technical topics to both technical and non-technical staff; ability to articulate business issues/concerns with staff, peers, leadership, and outside parties.
• MS Office and MS Visio proficiency

Cisco TCP/IP network on routers/switches

Troubleshooting network related issues-HSRP, spanning tree

Knowledge of fiber cabling
• Must be a strong independent contributor who is a team player capable of mentoring and helping their peers to becoming strong technical peers. Must be able to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously. The candidate will be escalated to by both Atos and customer representatives to address current or future needs in their area of responsibility
• Must have a strong technical acumen for corporate network technology infrastructures and have the ability to discuss and teach technologies at a technical level amongst their peers. The candidate's expertise will be counted upon for significant refresh planning, major incident resolution, communication with the customer and to assist with proposals
• Ability to effectively communicate issues, remediation plans and status on major initiatives to higher levels of leadership
• Ability to direct and interact during major outages and/or initiatives
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
• Travel requirements are not expected for this role.
