Summary of Role:

As Product Engineering Manager, you will be managing a team of multi-discipline engineers who are responsible for bring up and sustaining engineering activities to GF turnkey service portfolio and new product introduction activities that support production readiness of new products. The product Engineering team serves as the technical point of contact for sustaining engineering, including ongoing product support, change initiation, and helping prioritize and execute design and manufacturability improvements. The manager of Product Engineering will coordinate with other departments, customers, and suppliers, to address engineering related product issues.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for coordinating team resources and activities with other departments across sustaining and new project support activities.
  • Work with GF internal, customer and suppliers to develop inter-departmental processes to meet the product needs
  • Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality
  • Participate in the change management process and ensure requirements are implemented properly and in a timely fashion
  • Resolve production issues by working with the Supply partners, and internal teams
  • Assist in sustaining support responsibilities for all release products
  • Managing and expanding relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on engineering design and development
  • Manage the team to ensure new projects are delivered on time with consistent quality
  • Develop a team of product engineers to help customer product launch
Other Responsibilities:
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs


Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • 10+ years relevant experience in semiconductor engineering design (Design, Wafer, Packaging and Test)
  • 3+ years management or leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of engineering support in a production environment
  • Experience in the manufacturing and fabrication processes
  • Must have good problem solving and analytical skills, as well as ability to utilize data for decision making
  • Take ownership and responsibility for team success
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate across technical disciplines and organizations
