Are you our next Senior Manager Communications?

Position requires up to 30% travel within the U.S. and Canada.

The Senior Manager Communications will direct, develop and execute comprehensive multi-channel communications strategies and advocacy campaigns that support and promote the mission and broad objectives of Mosaic's North America Business. Along with the management of the communications team, this role will offer executive communications support, social media strategies and manage engagement across multiple platforms making data driven decisions to support the business's goals and strategies.

What will you do?

  • Lead the design and development of communications that are strongly linked to Mosaic's strategic advocacy priorities
  • Collaborate with business leaders to drive critical messages and achieve change through proactive internal and external communications
  • Develop and implement an overall plan for targeted communications efforts using all available and appropriate channels
  • Collaborate with external vendors as needed to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of initiatives
  • Provide counsel and advice to senior management on communication strategies and approaches
  • Engage at industry functions, public meetings and media events
  • Lead, develop, and coach employees in order to retain and expand organizational talent through focused attention and effort
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on a regular basis to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles and the business
  • Manage performance issues when necessary. Work with employees on their career development plans
  • Lead and participate in Public Affairs project and miscellaneous duties as assigned

What do you need for this role?
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations or related field is required
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive communications experience, including prior leadership responsibilities for public relations or communications team in a corporate, government or consulting firm environment is required
  • Experience managing multiple high-stakes projects within a large organization
  • Prior success in developing cross functional strategic communication plans
  • Ability to understand highly technical and scientific information and skillfully articulate that information to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including excellent editing, presentation, facilitation and listening skills
  • Well-organized with superior follow-through
  • Ability to communicate genuinely with employees, potential external allies, opponents and the general public at all levels
  • Displays mature judgment with demonstrated ability to lead, influence and operate successfully within a dynamic team culture
  • Ability to effectively work and build relationships with employees at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environmentand manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking and decision-making skills
