Job Description:

TheSenior Leader, Location Sciencemanages a team of spatial analysts and engineers who are responsible for developing state-of-the-art location intelligence products for our clients. You will oversee the implementation of our spatial algorithms, the automation of workflows, management of our infrastructure, and creation of new techniques to derive new insights from CoreLogic's unique data assets.In addition, you will provide guidance and direction to cross functional team members to execute against key deliverables and milestones.

A successfulSenior Leader, Location Sciencehas a passion for leading people and is also extremely well-versed in spatial model development and infrastructure practices of the GIS industry. You should be a team player who is comfortable working with other People Leaders, Product and Project Managers, and Development teams to support research efforts within the organization.

This role requires excellent critical thinking skills, Python and Big Query development skills and the ability to learn and coach team members on GIS technologies as needed. We are looking for someone who strives to improve geospatial processing and operational workflows by performing analysis and developing data-driven solutions. Above all, we look for candidates that have a helpful, can-do attitude, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Essential job duties include:

  • Manage the technical aspects and the team responsible for spatial research and development initiatives. This includes developing strategies and workflows for the creation, storage, transformation, editing, refresh, and development of new solutions.
  • Manage, mentor and motivateteam members to complete assigned tasks and goals. Monitor deliverables of key milestones and effectively manage risk.
  • Performs and documents GIS needs assessment and requirements for R&D projects and technical tasks.
  • Lead the design, development, and documentation of spatial cloud infrastructure, databases, and complex algorithms.
  • Provide technical guidance on a wide range of systems/projects and mentor less experienced team members.
  • Drive projects from concept to final implementation and/or delivery.
  • Provide advanced technical support to diagnose and resolve incidents in production systems.
  • Research, evaluate, recommend, and apply new and alternate technologies and platforms for the Location Science team.
Job Qualifications:

  • Ability to serve as an effective and engaging people leader for6 to 10 direct reports, including the daily management of spatial analysts, specialists, and engineers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively up, down, and across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience coaching and developing employees at various stages in their career.
  • Customer oriented: meets individual commitments, works with the team to achieve team commitments, responds to request in a timely manner, willing to help
  • Knowledge of geospatial tools, data formats, and techniques (ESRI, FME, QGIS, GDAL)
  • Experience managing workflow automation and scripting tools.
  • Advanced technical skillset in Python or comparable languages required
  • Experience managing and developing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Biq Query
  • Experience using source control systems, e.g. GitHub
  • Experience with Atlassian products including Confluence and JIRA.
  • Experience using Postgres and SQL query language

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Computer Science, or related area. Other combinations of experience and education may be substituted.

Experience:
  • 10+ years' experience in a spatial development and production setting.

Annual Pay Range:
118,200 - 140,000 USD
