Location: Oxford, MA
Salary: $100,000.00 USD Annually - $160,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior Laser Applications Engineer. This is a permanent, direct hire position.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize cutting-edge laser processing equipment, machine tools, and robotics technology
• Expertise in developing and optimizing laser applications, with a focus on new solutions
• Hands-on experience with various lasers, beam delivery, and laser workstations
• Execute test plans, manage reports, and document process recipes for tailored customer solutions
• Conduct demonstrations at various locations, including trade shows and conferences
• Setup and operate robotic and CNC laser equipment for testing and development
• Install, maintain, and inspect equipment in the lab, including optical microscopy and metallographic cross-sectioning
• Document test results electronically and contribute to publications
• Support engineering, sales, marketing, field service, and customer activities

Requirements:

• Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred)
• +5 years' experience in a similar role
• Proficient in lasers, optics, CNC/robotic system programming, and CAD/CAM packages
• SolidWorks experience is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong interpersonal skills, work ethic, and ability to work independently and within teams
• Customer-focused with excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
