Job Description

Who we're looking for

We're looking for a skilled Senior Group Manager, Social Media to lead, develop execute and maintain our social media program across multiple channels. This role will manage the team responsible for Intuitive's social media program while consulting on social media matters and building global social media relations capacity. In partnership with department leaders this role will amplify the brand, accelerate thought leadership, perform community management, and manage paid social campaigns. This role will work cross-functionally to close any gaps within process, technical infrastructure, and capability as well as quantify and communicate social media performance and trends.

  • Manage the team responsible for publishing, maintaining, and growing multiple social media channels
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify, create and direct a pipeline of social content
  • Evolve organic and paid content strategy line with brand standards and business goals
  • Optimize the capabilities and standards required to operationalize social media at scale across the globe
  • Measure, analyze and communicate social media performance

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and execute comprehensive corporate social media programs with department leadership to amplify the brand and ensure global programs adhere to business standards while meeting prioritized business objectives
  • Manage the team of social media experts responsible for growing social channels and engaging key audiences
  • Maintain consistent contact with marketing, human resources, clinical, product and sales management teams to ensure alignment with, and the following of protocols, to create and publish content efficiently
  • Monitor the social landscape and respond as needed
  • Lead social media projects as product owner amongst cross-functional teams including IT, legal, public affairs, marketing, and others to drive understanding and advance capabilities at a market level.
  • Work with market level stakeholders to set expectations for the consistent reporting of social media program performance for executive visibility and planning purposes.
  • Champion continuous review and improvement cadence while monitoring and measuring social media practices for engagement, efficiency, and business impact.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Minimum 8-10 years of practical hands-on social media operations and public relations experience within a regulated category such as medical device, life sciences, or financial services.
  • You have proven experience managing a team and executing social media programs and campaigns while simultaneously navigating and making strategic decisions about risk tolerance and compliance in pursuit of performance.
  • You are uniquely qualified and have experience translating varied risk profiles across business strategy and content creation to inform decisions about strategy and use of social media platforms to drive engagement.
  • You have experience working with technical teams implementing, optimizing, and using customer experience platforms and content management systems
  • You have strong analytical skills, a keen ability to understand customer data, and know how to convert insights into purposeful actions to meet business needs.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills simplifying complex ideas and concepts and making them clear and actionable.
  • You have demonstrable experience negotiating and creating process enabling end-to-end Social Media workflows in a Scrum environment.
  • You have experience working with global stakeholders and teams to drive alignment and operational consistency where it makes sense and being flexible where alternative solutions must be considered.
  • Travel up to 15% time.
