Zurich is currently looking for a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to work out of our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. While this position will be based out of our Schaumburg, IL, you will have the flexibility to work both in the office and remotely. You will partner with your manager to set a flexible work schedule that supports you, our business partners & customers.

The Senior Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for acting as a liaison between Finance and Actuarial, business and service units and IT in implementing, maintaining, and updating core financial systems that support the organization.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Lead and support the business in the development of new or changes to financial processes and reports

  • Ensure appropriate change management practices are effectively utilized to improve execution and delivery of results

  • Act as a lead point of contact for financial systems and processes, working as a conduit between finance, IT and the Business Units and support functions as required

  • Contribute to the delivery of the Financial Accounting and Reporting organizational goals through close work with the team and across other areas of Finance and Actuarial and the business ensuring outputs are robust and completed in a timely manner

  • Lead, participate or guide the successful implementation of medium complexity local projects, sub-projects or phases of a larger projects

  • Develop a good working knowledge of key business processes and application of accounting principles; act as a subject matter expert for any queries relating to financial systems and processes

  • Support in the delivery of robust, timely information relating to all aspects of financial performance in order to enhance business decision making

  • Identify and implement process improvements utilizing analytics and automation technology such as RPA, Alteryx and Microsoft 365 Power Apps and Power Automate

  • Assist management in the leading and development of team members

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in accounting or business Administration or Finance and 6 or more years of experience in the performing accounting transactions, analysis, and reporting area
    OR

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business Administration or Finance and 8 or more years of experience in the performing accounting transactions, analysis, and reporting area
    OR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the performing accounting transactions, analysis, and reporting area
    AND

  • Experience building cross-functional partnerships and assembling and leading project teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Insurance industry experience

  • Experience in accounting and financial reporting, general ledger and reporting tools

  • Project management experience

  • SAP experience

  • CPA, MBA, CPCU, CFA or CTP

  • Strong Microsoft 365 experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
