Zurich North America is hiring a Sr. Architect to join our IT Architecture team! We are open to hiring talent at our Schaumburg, IL location.

We are looking for an individual who can contribute to the improvement of a portfolio of business applications through application of architecture standards and principles. The individual in this role must be very technical but also able to quickly develop a solid understanding of Zurich's businesses. The individual in this role influences decisions through a combination of technical and business domain knowledge as well as through the building of key personal relationships.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Aligning IT strategy with business strategy with by delivering architectural solutions that produce business value
• Defining solution architectures which enable the achievement of delivery goals while also achieving progress towards strategic IT objectives
• Delivering decisions frameworks that clarify the trade-offs between various alternatives in terms of business value
• Developing roadmaps for IT landscapes to define progression towards longer term IT and business benefits
• Influencing others to align architectural solutions through deep technical knowledge, strong insurance domain knowledge and the ability build trusted relationships with IT and business partners.
• Ensuring all projects are initiated within IT's delivery framework
• Ensuring compliance with IT application, development and maintenance service management governance standards and policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area
  OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area
  AND
• IT Strategy

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree
