Primary Purpose

The Senior Director, Order to Cash & Revenue Accounting leads the strategic and operational processes providing visibility to Ferrara's sales performance. You will focus on attaining operational efficiency, driving accountability, and maximizing financial results, working in close partnership with Revenue Growth Management, Sales, Operations, Marketing and Finance.

This role will be responsible for supporting a fast-growing organization through establishing or updating accounting and reporting policies, along with related processes, systems, and internal controls, to ensure compliance with ASC 606 accounting and reporting requirements.

Major Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual will:

  • Lead Revenue Accounting, Deductions Management, Account Receivable, and Pricing Administration teams to ensure effective and timely results that aligns with Ferrara's strategic goals.
  • Own the trade promotion management systems and processes, partnering with Revenue Growth Management, Sales and IT to drive efficiencies and results.
  • Lead the integration and transformation of revenue and deductions systems and processes from acquired companies into the Ferrara business.
  • Lead the Revenue Accounting close monthly, responsible for accurate and timely gross-to-net reporting along with related accruals.
  • Partner with Finance to support accounting of revenue transactions under ASC 606
  • Develop strong relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders in order to drive initiatives
  • Implement and monitor Trade Program Management internal controls
  • Develop and lead reporting key KPIs (DSO, Open Deductions, Quality of Receivables, etc.)
  • Communicate results to broad and senior audiences
  • Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures
  • Understands and demonstrates the Company's core values
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
  • Minimum 15 years of experience with detail knowledge of the revenue cycle in the Consumer Packaged Goods, Pharmaceutical or similar industries
  • Prior experience with trade program management and/or indirect sales tracking systems, including BluePlanner
  • Prior experience with accounts receivable and deductions management automation tools, including High Radius
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Engineering or similarly analytically based majors; Master's degree in business administration preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant with Big 4 experience preferred.
  • High competency in examining data, managing complex data sets, and analytical problem-solving
  • Experience and skill presenting concepts to multiple audiences, including senior leadership
  • Previous manager of mid-sized teams
  • Experience working with and leading large, cross-functional teams both local and remote
