The Sr. Manager of Continuous Improvement will drive initiatives in lean manufacturing, technical training, and process leadership. This role will report to the VP of Sugar Operations for Ferrara.

The ideal candidate will be a world-class manufacturing and distribution leader from a CPG, foodservice or high-volume technology company with a strong track record of process improvement. This manager will be a hands-on operations leader who knows how to drive improvement leveraging both in-house and outsourced resources.

Ways you will make a difference

  • Development and deployment of technical training materials for major processes (i.e. Mogul Kitchen, Mogul Ops, Panning, Scale and Bagger Operation)
  • Development and "lock-down" of processes used to produce finished goods in make and pack facilities, including but not limited to, parameter definition, process monitoring, process documentation, poka-yoke implementation, jig development and usage governance.
  • Definition and continuous improvement of a Ferrara "Operating System" based on LEAN / Six-Sigma and encompassing a regular metrics-driven cadence / Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Definition of requirements and implementation of appropriate processes for effective manufacturing efficiency improvement
  • Recruitment, training and retention of a world-class manufacturing and distribution leadership team.
  • Partner with supply chain leaders in strategic sourcing, manufacturing, engineering and supply & demand planning to deliver creative manufacturing solutions.
  • Work with Sales, R&D, Product Management and Finance teams to help a create manufacturing matrix for future products
  • Develop deep partnerships with cross-functional teams, including the R&D team, Engineering, and Operations.

Skills that will make you successful

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or equivalent professional experience
  • 7 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Prior success in leading high performing teams strongly preferred

Experiences that will support your success

  • Experience in multi-site manufacturing leadership preferred
  • Deep expertise in operations and quality management leveraging LEAN, six-sigma and/or other leading metrics-driven methodologies; Known for establishing an operating system and cadence based on KPIs.
  • Experience selecting and deploying IT tools for manufacturing and distribution to enable rapid effective scaling.
  • Excellent ability to partner within Supply Chain, Product Management, and other functions.
  • Proven ability to focus on the challenge without having to "own" all the teams and resources that go into final delivery of work product.
  • Exceptional influencing skills across R&D, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales.
  • Ability to influence and lead individuals and teams including and outside of one's direct reports.
