JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Senior CAD Designer, you will be responsible for advanced CAD modeling, creation of new assemblies/models, engineering change management and entries/changes within the company's ERP system. This role collaborates cross functionally with all areas of the company including engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and technical service/aftermarket. Experience with rapid prototyping techniques a plus.

Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, this position is based in New Albany, Indiana with the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule. If position is hybrid, candidate will be required to be in the office at least 25% of the time.

Major Accountability:

• Prepare 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Assist in maintenance and creation of technical manuals.
• Writes and coordinates Engineering Changes.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Produce models and drawings with Creo and Solid Works (a plus).
• Possess knowledge of all steps required to set up parts and assemblies in a production ERP system.
• Understand part tolerances based on manufacturing processes and real world fit up of assemblies.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 7-10 years' experience with CAD and ERP software.

Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of advanced design concepts, practices and procedures. Ability to read and prepare drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in a virtual team with remote resources.

Working Conditions:

• Normal Office Environment.
• May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
