The AstraZeneca Newark Supply Site in Newark, DE, was established in 1971 and currently employs approximately 260 people. Over the course of these years, Newark has undergone many product portfolio changes since it first began as Stuart Pharmaceuticals through today as the designated AZ North America Packaging Center of Excellence and a Flexible Formulation site for global supply of complex products. You will be part of the Site Engineering and Facilities Management team at the Newark site to ensure reliable and energy-efficient operations of our facility.

What you'll do:

  • The Senior Building Manager is responsible for ensuring that all assets throughout the Facility are operating and maintained such that there are no disruptions to production operations at the site.
  • Accountable for scheduling and directing PM, reactive maintenance, preventative maintenance, and predictive maintenance activities for Facilities Maintenance across all shifts.
  • Coordination of technical resources for electrical and mechanical equipment and system troubleshooting
  • As system owner for key utility and facility systems, drive continuous improvement programs such as maintenance excellence to deliver improvements in asset reliability, availability, and costs.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related scientific field with a minimum of 7 years experience in:
  • Facilities and Utilities systems such as USP Water, HVAC, Boiler Technology, Compressed Air, Automated Warehouse Systems.
  • Minimum of 4 years previous supervisory or project management experience with the ability to direct cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of SAP for Equipment Maintenance.
  • Training or experience in the applicable following technologies: mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, boiler house operation, vacuum technology, electronics, programmable logic controllers, refrigeration, test equipment for electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, HVAC, controlled environment
  • Experience in Six Sigma/analytical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment
