What is Tyson Enterprise Data Management?

The Enterprise Data Management Team at Tyson Foods is building data capabilities of the future that will assist in the transformation of an 85-year-old company into the most modern food company in the world. We are developing master data management, governance and quality processes that will ensure data throughout the organization and around the globe is complete, valid, and accurate. How can I be part of Enterprise Data Management @ Tyson?

Reporting directly to the Enterprise Data Management Director, you will be responsible for ensuring data excellence for data within our analytics platform. You will partner with data stewards from all domains to ensure that data created in the platform is properly cataloged in our Data & Report Catalogs and enriched with business relevant context. You will work closely with the data modelers and other Data & Analytics team members to provide steward guidance on analytic builds. You will monitor the adherence to security and data classification standards and champion the understanding of the standards with other domain stewards. As we continue to build out our data governance processes with the analytics landscape, you will play a key role in executing the governance tasks to ensure our analytics builds are accurate, understood, and secure. You could also be engaged in special project work related to other data governance and quality initiatives such as master data management and reference data management.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or Technology related field.

Experience: Minimum 3+ years of work in a data governance, analyst, or stewardship role. Analytics data experience preferred. Collibra experience a plus.

Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally with customers peers and management required. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required. Must be able to work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment.
