This position is to be the Principal IT Business Systems Analyst within the US Commercial IT organization focusing on Sales Enablement.   This position will be working with Sales, Marketing and Commercial Operations teams understanding their critical business needs and translating into business and technical requirements.   This position will work on strategic projects that will enhance existing processes/technologies as well as work on new efforts that align with digital strategic imperatives.   This position will primarily be focused on Salesforce.com (SFDC) and its linked systems such as cVent, Qualtrics, and Visualization tools.   This customer relationship management (CRM) system is used for several key areas such as account/contact management, activity planning, sales planning/forecasting, data integration/reporting/analytics and campaign/opportunity management. 

A DAY IN THE LIFE
•    Develop a detailed understanding of the SFDC core application architecture, as well as integrated applications, 
•    Serves as a sales enablement system design liaison for functional enhancements.
•    Facilitate interviews to gather formal business requirements, document current process, and design future state.
•    Translate and document user requirement(s) into Functional Specifications or ‘How It can be done’ in tools being used.
•    Utilize SFDC Administrator skills to continuously design/build/configure/deliver business solutions while maintaining existing functionality in a complex Salesforce org.
•    Design, propose and document Enterprise Change Requests (ECR’s) for updated and new data integrations.
•    Defines, documents and coordinates integration testing requirements.
•    Advises business team members on business process options.
•    Analyzes complex issues and presents in easy to read process/data flows.
•    Significantly improves existing IT processes.
•    Documents and trains others on IT solutions and data designs.
•    Work with team members across process areas (Sales, Commercial Operations, BI, Analytics, Finance, Marketing).
•    Collaborate with partner teams to share best practices and avoid redundant effort.
•    Analyze and help resolve system issues; recommend/implement timely solutions.
•    Develop strong business acumen, including an understanding of products, markets, competitors, customers, and business processes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)
•    Bachelor’s degree

SENIOR PRINCIPAL LEVEL:
•    10+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of experience with an advanced degree 

OTHER EXPERIENCE:
•    5+ years of experience developing on Salesforce.com platform; demonstrated experience in developing custom objects, workflows, validation rules, and triggers within a complex (+3 business units) SFDC organization
•    SFDC Administrator Certification

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)
•    5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst and/or systems consultant including the development of business requirements and test plan documents
•    Solid understanding of system design and development lifecycles, specifically Agile methodology 
•    Experience with test script development to satisfy functional testing, acceptance testing and end to end testing
•    Experience with SF mobile configuration, Lightning, Apex programming, Visualforce pages, and Data Loader
•    Experience with Salesforce to ERP integrations such as SAP or Oracle
•    Preference given for additional Salesforce certifications  such as Advanced Administrator, Platform Architect or Sales Cloud Consultant 
•    Strong organizational skills and experience, and the ability to participate in cross-functional teams
•    Ability to identify areas for process improvement and recommend/implement solutions; experience with process map development
•    Understanding of databases and how to extract/analyze data 
•    Proven creativity and problem-solving skills; ability to work around obstacles and solve problems with minimal direction
•    Ability to develop effective relationships with business users, technical staff and executive management
•    Strong organizational/time management skills; ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
•    Highly effective written and verbal communication skills 
•    Flexible with a demonstrated ability to embrace change
•    Previous work experience within the Life Sciences sector preferred
•    Experience doing data analysis on commercial sales and finance data from multiple sources
•    Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical topics to business management and users
•    Experienced with visualization tools such as Tableau and Business Objects
