Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant position performs a variety of accounting duties and project-oriented tasks to support the financial reporting needs of Lasko.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Month-end close:
    • preparing monthly journal entries
    • assist in preparation of consolidated financial statement package
    • analyze financial statement flux analysis for variances
    • reconcile and analyze intercompany activity
    • update and maintain trial balance cube
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Maintain expense reimbursement system
  • Recommend and implement improvement processes
  • Prepare and send monthly reporting for banking obligations
  • Maintain general ledger attributes file
  • Prepare documentation for external auditors
  • Assist with accounts payable as needed including verifying new vendor set-up and proper general ledger coding for vouching
  • Ad hoc projects

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
  • Experience: 3-5 years
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other related area
  • CPA/MBA preferred, not required
  • Public accounting experience a plus
  • Manufacturing experience a plus
  • Proficient in MS Excel
