The University of Miami/UHealth System is launching a Specialty Pharmacy Division. We are looking for talented Specialty Pharmacist to be part of this exciting venture.

The incumbent will have responsibilities for providing clinical and distributive pharmacy services for all medications dispensed by UHealth Specialty Operations. This position, acting in its professional capacity, directs supportive personnel such as Pharmacy Technicians in their daily activities as it relates to managing and providing these services. Other critical responsibilities include assuring positive patient therapeutic outcomes by assessing therapy compliance and effectiveness, including appropriate coordination with other health care professionals. This includes professional functions such as patient assessment, medication profile review, management of side-effects, monitoring compliance and persistency, and appropriate coordination with other healthcare professionals. Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.

This position requires a degree in pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy. Current pharmacy license in state of Florida. Specialty Pharmacy experience required.

Patient safety is a top priority. As a result, during the Influenza ("the flu") season (September through April), the University of Miami School of Medicine requires all employees who provide ongoing services to patients, work in a location (all Hospitals and clinics) where patient care is provided, or work in patient care or clinical care areas, to have an annual influenza vaccination. Failure to meet this requirement will result in rescinding or termination of employment.
