Manage the purchasing and delivery logistics of all furniture, fixtures, equipment, and services as an integral part of the Development team for new build and remodel restaurant projects, to meet scheduled start and open dates. While ensuring that all materials are delivered in advance of need-by dates the Specialist will need to provide certain analytics on cost, volume materials handling charges etc. finding potential savings available for the organization.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzes project schedules and plans inventory needs in order to meet Inspire Brands projected growth goals
  • Executes a high volume of purchases of furniture, fixtures, and equipment within Oracle and Lucernex for new build, remodel, and special projects
  • Manages a large quantity of contracts and purchase orders in meeting project timelines to start and close projects
  • High level of communication with vendors and project stakeholders concerning forecasting, product availability, scheduling, and pricing
  • Provide direction and guidance to franchisees, field executives, architects and general contractors on the equipment procurement process
  • Evaluate and monitor contracts to ensure that vendor and suppliers comply with the terms and conditions of the contract and to determine any need for changes
  • Compiles information in project reporting on committed dollars, actual spent dollars, and logistics.
  • Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other reports to determine reasonable prices
  • Project cost management. Tracks and reports pricing increases, various fees, and cost savings.
  • Interface regularly with vendors in troubleshooting issues / soliciting innovative ideas and solutions in managing product supply and delivery meets Inspire Brands schedules
  • Evolve processes, reporting, and tracking to improve efficiency and effectiveness

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4 year degree preferred with a minimum of 5 years of equivalent work experience
  • Previous experience in purchasing, or buyer of capital equipment, in a fast-paced environment required
  • Accounting experience, as well as prior experience in Construction and the Restaurant industry are a plus

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES:

  • Highly organized and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, as well as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Power Point required
  • Analytically driven. Utilizes system tools to gather data, summarize for results and make recommendations to Management
  • Oracle Purchasing or ERP experience is required
  • High quality work produced with attention to detail
  • Comfortable negotiating with Suppliers and actively engaging in issue resolution
  • Effective prioritizing and time management skills
  • Ability to review architectural drawings for some take-offs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
