SAIC’s National Security ans Space Sector (NSS) is seeking motivated, self-starting entry-level professionals who will be graduating in 2023 and would like to help solve some of the hardest intelligence problems facing the nation. The individual needs to function in a team environment and possess excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Depending on the individual’s skills and interests, the individual will be placed in one of two roles: Satellite Engineering or Systems Engineering.
Satellite Engineering roles and responsibilities potentially include:
• Work alongside experienced subject matter experts in orbital mechanics, Radio Frequency (RF), communications, dynamics and controls, satellite design, optics, and/or modeling and simulation
• Develop modeling and simulation tools to assist with analysis of complex, technical problems relating to a wide variety of spacecraft and systems
• Work with the customer to explore new missions, Concept of Operations (CONOPs), and architectures
• Develop algorithms to perform analysis and produce much-needed data products
• Maintain and improve large scale simulations to support multiple missions
• Integrate existing models from mission partners into simulations
• Model dynamic agent behaviors
• Evaluate complex results and determine engineering recommendations based on analysis
• Quickly translate user needs into effective software solutions

Systems Engineering roles and responsibilities potentially include:
• Develop CONOPS and architecture products in support of acquisition level requirements and interfaces specifications for GEOINT/SIGINT/Multi-INT systems.
• Review, assess and determine impacts to enterprise, functional, and system level design requirements, interfaces, architectures, CONOPS and verification plans
• Review and assess acquisition level requirements, designs, architectures, CONOPS and verification plans for adequacy of implementation of customer requirements, interface definitions, concepts and reference architecture
• Develop enterprise and functional level requirements
• Manage and maintain architectures, CONOPS and requirements through enterprise configuration management boards and approved RFC processes
• Develop documents and briefings to communicate work or study status, brief government and industry as required
• Understand overall systems engineer process

Qualifications
- Pursuit of BS in a STEM related degree field such as engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
- Graduate 2023 (Bachelors, Masters, or PhD)
- Graduate 2022 and planning to enroll in a full-time Masters program
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
