Overview

SUMMARY

Arcticom LLC a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Solutions Architect Master for USDA DISC in Kansas City, MO. The ideal candidate will support the Service Management Office as it manages the portfolio suite of technology services, and accompanying business processes that enable the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to achieve its mission area business goals and objectives, leveraging its investments and delivering government services in an efficient manner.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with senior leadership, customers, and technical subject matter experts, to create/design/develop/implement Enterprise Cloud solutions.
• Provide technical input and interact with leadership to provide guidance, recommendations and subject matter expertise on cloud solutions.

• Maintain and update Enterprise documentations for new and current products and service.
• Identify, propose, design, implement and manage new service offerings industry standards and best practices.
• Strategic planning: Provide technical expertise and oversight on innovative/new technology and alignment to organizational strategic plans.
• Prepare technical business cases to include alternative analysis, technical and financial feasibility analysis and Go-To-Market Strategy.
• Act as a key member of Cloud Architecture team to insure technical capabilities are maximized, collaboration with Service Portfolio team to deliver new services
• Support Service Portfolio Team designing/updating services: perform/analyze operational strategy for Vendor Management / Resource Planning / Capacity Planning
• Maintain high level of current technology trends, best practices and industry standards various sources regarding IT technology trends.
• Ability to use latest technology to provide latest technical solutions to our customers.
• Ability to develop high-level cloud-based solutions.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary)

• Minimum 10 years' experience with Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree (preferred) in relevant field with six years' experience perform job specific tasks.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Strong technical understanding of data networking solutions and Data Center applications.
• Ability to use knowledge of existing products, new developments and market needs to formulate strategic and creative marketing plans.
• Ability to develop firm understanding of product financials to advise service owners regarding corrections that may be needed.
• Ability to use and understand technical IT language to interact with internal and external customers.
• Ability to translate technical language and discuss it in business terms.
• Ability to use Microsoft Power BI software to pull data from disparate sources within the data center enterprise and produce reports and dashboards to be consumed by internal service owners and managers to monitor and manage the performance of products and services.
• Identify and implement continual process improvement
• Commercial Cloud experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

• Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
• ITIL framework
• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Power-BI and/or Tableau.

Preferred

• Current USDA Public Trust clearance

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
