Software Architect - Connectivity will play a pivotal role in shaping the definition, and implementation of new connectivity platforms at Stellantis. The role will bring automotive or equivalent platform expertise in building scalable and high-quality product development. The
SW Architect -- Connectivity is responsible for overall software architecture and design of the onboard connectivity solution including base software, middleware and applications. In this role, you will be working with hardware and software suppliers for connectivity as well internal teams and directing the design and development activities to align with Stellantis current and future roadmaps.

In this role, you will be guiding the team in terms of administering technology and process frameworks that must flow from product line teams until customer engineering. You will be working with system integration and validation teams for ensuring product quality while meeting milestones. The Software Architect will also research, design, document, and contribute to software specifications throughout the production life cycle. This individual will also provide mentoring, support and guidance to the SW engineer role.

Key position requirements of Software Architect include but not limited to:

  • Deep rooted understanding of connectivity platforms and architectures (on board and off board)
  • Significant experience working with Linux-like software systems and AUTOSAR software development
  • Excellent understanding of hypervisor principles, virtualization concepts and containerization technologies
  • Architecting experience with common software resources, in a multi-process based and shared resource environment
  • Experience with dynamic linking and loading of software and methods for effective software integration into multiple software execution contexts and domains
  • Radio Interface Layer, Hardware Abstraction principles and design
  • Experience with multiple vehicle architectures, diagnostics
  • Understanding of signal, API and service-oriented interface design
  • Application framework (Macchina) and application sandboxing
  • Telematics features including eCall, remote services, data collection, phone as a key
  • Knowledge of V2X technology and applications (Day 1 and beyond)
  • Experience with native software engineering stacks (C/C++/Java/JavaScript)
  • Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices
  • Secure boot principles, authenticated firmware
  • HSM, secure execution environment
  • Cryptography, PKI, message authentication
  • Application security, API, permission management, sandbox
  • Protection profiles, common criteria
  • V2X Security concepts
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
  • Regulatory requirements - eCall, Firmware updates, CSMS (UNECE R.155, R156)
  • Threat Assessment Risk Analysis (TARA)
  • Knowledge of SAFe Agile practices
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
  • Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams
  • Flexible and adaptable in regard to learning and understanding new technologies
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
