Mosaic continues to evaluate safety protocols in how to best structure the return-to-work model and balance the needs of the business.

As the Senior Treasury Analyst will be the lead for all intercompany activity and for partnering with Law, Tax, and Accounting to ensure loan documentation is accurate and specific to the Mosaic subsidiaries involved. As the incumbent you will be the subject matter expert on cross-functional initiatives within Mosaic and will interface with multiple levels during these projects. You will also be involved in all other facets of treasury operations including cash management, global banking administration, Credit Facility administration, account analysis, working capital management, derivative confirmations, and letters of credit. In this role you will interact with financial institutions and financial service providers.

What will you do?

  • Work jointly with Capital Markets, Tax department, Accounting, Law department, outside fiduciaries in Luxembourg and the Netherlands, and financial institutions to manage inter-company activity with the goal of funding Mosaic global operations and minimizing working capital while avoiding unplanned tax consequences and maintaining compliance with established guidance from other departments
  • Analyze, recommend, and implement strategies to fund subsidiaries through inter-company loan arrangements
  • Collaborate with Business units, Tax and Accounting to determine the amount and source of funds required to meet commitments
  • Analyze and report changes to inter-company balances to TAX and Accounting
  • Analyze inter-company payables/receivables balances in SAP or treasury workstation, identifying out of balance transactions, and reporting them to Accounting
  • Settle all inter-company residing in SAP or treasury workstation to avoid adverse tax consequences and assist Accounting in closing the books
  • Maintain all documentation for inter-company loans
  • Plan and recommend improvements to existing processes and execute complex, multi-step transactions
  • Perform daily cash netting, borrowing and investing activities
  • Compile, analyze, and report company and business unit cash positions to ensure all cash commitments can be met
  • Recommend strategies to optimize offshore cash balances
  • Make recommendations on borrowing and investment decisions
  • Analyze bank services and fees
  • Make recommendations on appropriate services by account and bank
  • Open and close accounts as necessary
  • Ensure signors are accurate and up to date
  • Work with Tax to ensure FBAR filings with Federal Treasury Department are made in a timely manner
  • Perform daily bank administration of the Mosaic global bank accounts. Initiate or approve cash disbursement activity for all Mosaic and business unit accounts

What do you need for this role?
  • Bachelor's degree required, with a major in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is required
  • 5+ years of experience in a corporate/bank treasury operations structure or comparable experience in finance and corporate consolidations is required
  • Extensive technical knowledge of world-wide banking systems, regulation, and treasury management structures
  • Familiarity with corporate inter-company loan documents, including common conventions
  • Ability to work independently and make appropriate recommendations to management
  • Ability to plan and execute complex transactions involving multiple steps
  • Ability to work on problems of high complexity where analysis of situations or data requires the review of a variety of factors
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electronic funds clearing systems, formats, and procedures in the US, Canada, and internationally preferred
  • In depth knowledge of the impacts of relationships between entities in the Mosaic Corporate Organizational chart including consequences of their tax designation and respective position in the cash management structure preferred
  • Experience working in a commodity business with a global footprint preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook with advanced Excel skills
  • Bloomberg, G/L systems, Bank platforms
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills
