Senior Systems Administrator

*        A first shift UNIX Administrator to support an Electronic Document Management system for a Federal client site based out of Columbus, OH.

*        Responsible for monitoring UNIX systems for availability and issues.

*        Provides operations and maintenance support for the system and related infrastructure.

*        Monitor Windows servers for application availability.

*        Completes assigned tasks related to projects and technical requests.

*        Provide updates to the client and team.

*             Responsible for leading/supervising Peraton and contractor personnel.

Required Skills:

*        5+ years of experience supporting Windows environment.

*        5+ years of experience with UNIX / Linux / HPUX.

*        Work primarily 1st shift; however, willing to occasionally work 2nd or 3rd shift.

*        Work weekends at least four times per year during quarterly system upgrades.

*        Ability to follow written and verbal instruction.

*        Complete, and maintain necessary documentation/checklists to ensure efficiency and consistency.

*        Professional communication, positive and timely manners in person, on the phone, and via electronic means.

*        Self-directed and functions with considerable independence.

*        Ability to work across multiple teams including customer and other contractors.

*        Ability to lead others.

Required Experience:

*         CompTIA Security+ certification

*         Ability to pass a government background investigation. 

Desired Experience:

*         HP-UX OE

*         Oracle/SQL*Plus

*         Windows Server 2016
