Job Description

About the role:

We're looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to work remotely anywhere in the US or from our growing Sunnyvale, CA office. You will be responsible for hands-on development of web applications, spanning both front-end and back-end development. You will collaborate with design engineering, human factors, clinical, QA, cyber security, and data analytics teams, among others. You will be a catalyst of change and will be responsible for helping to re-invent the way internal and external teams use data.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements and designing, programming, testing, and documenting to support new software and enhance existing software applications
  • Perform peer code reviews to ensure quality
  • Effectively communicate with immediate team members and partners to ensure delivery timelines, goals and prioritization are met
  • Contribute to code and technology standards used across software applications
  • Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of industry directions and trends in application architecture and programming languages
  • Provide support for operations and SRE teams, including root cause analysis and preventative analysis
  • Create and maintain required documentation
  • Responsible for production support, continuous improvement projects, minor enhancement etc.

Location: Remote anywhere in the US or Sunnyvale, CA

Qualifications

  • Requires a Master's degree in a related area and at least 6 years of experience with software applications development (or a Bachelor's and 8 years).
  • Minimum 3 years of production experience building restful APIs with node.js and developing enterprise level web applications using a modern framework (react.js, vue.js, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge and experience querying SQL databases
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices, including code standards, code reviews, source control management (Git), build processes, testing and operations.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with continuous integration (Jenkins/Circle CI/Github Actions/etc)
  • Experience with both front-end and back-end automated testing
  • Experience working with AWS
  • Experience working in a medical device company or with building FDA regulated software
