Position: Senior Software Engineer

Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Design, prototype and build new and user-friendly interfaces for the Customer Care Application which aids Customer care agents to quickly assist end customers. Implement solutions that will help walmart.com shoppers using knowledge of React, Redux, NextJS, Java, Spring, Cloud Native, Docker, Kubernetes, and Databases. Constantly improve and maintain the application for better performance and ease of use. Ensuring the quality of the application using various strategies such as Unit testing and Regression testing. Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of Software Engineering technologies and apply this to the development lifecycle software for Wal-Mart's supply chain software systems. Work with junior developers in the team on various aspects of frontend and software engineering. Perform build, deployment and continuous integration processes to make software code and configurations from local development environments to QA, Staging and Production environments. Provide production support to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the application performance or functionality.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 2 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 5 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.

Skills required: Experience building complex and user friendly interfaces using libraries and frameworks including React, Redux, Typescript, NodeJS, Angular, and EmberJS. Experience building custom components tailored for the specific application using various component libraries including Bootstrap, Material UI and Semantic UI. Experience implementing REST APIs from various downstream systems using different authentication protocols including OAuth and Kerberos. Experience improving the performance of web application using profiling tools including JMeter, WireShark, and Lighthouse. Experience with database schema design and data persistence strategies for different tools. Experience improving the CI/CD processes using build tools including Jenkins, Containerization tools including Docker, Testing tools including SonarQube, and Orchestration tools including Kubernetes. Experience reviewing and addressing Security vulnerabilities from application using various tools including Snyk, Fortify, and Blackduck. Experience improving application reliability using various testing frameworks including React Testing Library, Cypress, and JUnit. Experience collaborating on standard tools including JIRA, Asana, Confluence, Github, and Bitbucket. Experience understanding UX language from various tools including Figma, Zeplin, and Invision. Experience troubleshooting production issues using various tools including Splunk and Log file snapshots. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $161,571/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
