Job Description Summary
The successful candidate will play an important role in the Lab's continued focus on basic science research to understand and develop new nucleoside-modified mRNA platforms to advance effective and safe vaccines for different types of diseases, as well as new therapeutics. The person will be responsible for the design, optimization, and implementation of complex experiments within specified timelines, provide cross-organizational support for the essential laboratory functions, and contribute to writing/reviewing manuscripts, presentations, reports, protocols and SOPs.

Job Responsibilities
Working in Dr Weissman's Lab, the person will function independently in the execution of the experiments but will need to work collaboratively with other team members. The person will design, optimize, and implement complex experiments within specified timelines; provide cross-organizational support for the essential laboratory functions, including participation in maintenance of reagents and lab resources; and contribute to writing/reviewing manuscripts, preparing presentations and reports, as well as writing/reviewing protocols and SOPs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ph. D. and 5 to 7 years of experience in the field of molecular biology, biochemistry, gene therapy, or related fields required.
The successful candidate must be proficient with standard methods of data analyses.
Must have ability to work in a collaborative environment, and the ability to organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.

$36,368.00 - $148,122.66
Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
