Job Description Summary:
Currently seeking a Senior Project Manager for our Global Product Engagement & Program Management team. As part of our PMO team, you will be responsible for driving key initiatives supporting PayPal's critical Employee application capabilities used throughout the company. Initiatives will involve the implementation of a variety of technologies and will typically span multiple teams and geographic locations with primary focus on Legal IT or HR IT but could extend to other Corporate BUs (Sales, HR, Finance, etc)

Job Description:
  • 8-10 years of project/program management experience.
  • Strong project management full life cycle experience in large scale projects leveraging different methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.) Working with large and diverse teams in multiple locations.
  • Facilitate dialogue with the various stake holders to understand their needs and drive teams to develop solutions to meet and/or exceed our customer needs.
  • Manage projects to successful On Time/On Budget/On Quality delivery
  • Proactively identify and report on risks, issues and dependencies for the project or program
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing clearly and succinctly, complex design and technical issues, as well as business and product requirements
  • Manage efforts that involve 3rd party consulting and/or vendor product companies
  • Strong presentation and documentation skills, proficient in PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Able to manage financial and procurement duties as part of program/project management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with matrix reporting structure.
Required Experience, Skills, or Abilities:
  • Extensive experience leading global, multi-disciplinary teams in fast-paced, change intensive environments
  • Extensive knowledge of project and program management tools, templates and management techniques
  • Extensive knowledge of multiple software development methodologies, including in-depth knowledge of Agile delivery practices
  • Exceptional problem solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to work across organizational boundaries to drive closure of complex delivery challenges
  • Strong business and technical acumen, with the ability to quickly understand and communicate technical concepts and challenges across a wide-ranging audience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the professional confidence and credibility to effectively engage and interact with senior and executive management
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience managing moderately-sized projects and programs from start to finish within highly complex operating environments
Preferred / Plus:
  • Previous software development experience is a strong plus.
  • Previous online payments industry or financial products experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience in managing projects in Legal IT or HR IT area is a plus.
