Position Summary

In collaboration with the NVH team at ITT Motion Technologies Italian HQ and the Product Development team, the senior NVH Engineer would manage the NVH development on active customer programs to improve ITT exposure and success in the NA market.

As a leader in the industry, ITT takes pride in its capability to address and solve NVH problems, enabling its NVH engineers to employ the most advanced technologies and to utilize internal and external testing resources (dyno and vehicles).
Essential Responsibilities

Job Description/Accountability:

• Provide brake NVH solutions, by means of geometrical configurations and shims.
• Plan, coordinate, review and analyze data provided from Lab testing such as NVH dynamometer tests, modal testing, pressure mapping, etc.
• Integrate all NVH related data into test matrices, DOE's and test data base.
• Support advancing the brake NVH test techniques.
• Provide a premium experience to customers (internal and external) who deal with ITT, with an effective and timely submission of results, and a proactive interaction with the relevant stakeholders, to provide technical solutions and proposals for the solution of NVH issues..
• Properly interact with Product Development and Base Research teams, to improve the NVH robustness of ITT products.
• Anticipate future market requirements in terms of NVH, based on new Automotive macro-trends (electrification, autonomous driving), to ensure ITT products will be adequate to all new requirements
• Follow all safety rules and procedures in the performance of this position's duties and reports any unsafe practices to the supervisor.

Position Requirements

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other technical field with minimum of 3 years of job related brake NVH experience; OR Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other technical field with documented academic NVH research and/or projects.
• Problem solving and analysis skills that include the collection, evaluation and reporting of data and information related to system problems and observations.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Ability to effectively prepare and present information to customers, or senior management.
• Strong communication skills that include attentive listening, ability to respond to opinions constructively and effectively present ideas to an audience.
• Structured and organized mindset, habit to manage long-term projects
• Habit to work in a team, and collaborative attitude
• Very good capabilities to use Office and Windows most common software
• Knowledge of Abaqus, Pro-Link, RevData softwares
