RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Senior or Principal Medical Device Electronic Design Engineer in Encinitas, California (CA).Summary:We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this exclusive search assignment. The company offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, annual bonus, and Stock/RSU's. The Senior Medical Device Electronic Design Engineer will perform the design, development, and integration of complex medical systems with adherence to electrical performance, safety, and EMC standards. This position is partially remote.Responsibilities include:
  • Senior Medical Device Electronic Design Engineer will develop and design electrical products by studying customer requirements, researching, testing manufacturing, assembly methods, and materials through understanding of datasheets, schematics, and embedded code
  • Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, applications by designing, and conducting analysis
  • Senior Medical Device Electronic Design Engineer will confirm system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods
  • Testing properties, simulation, quick prototype, debug of electrical circuits, and firmware
  • Assure product quality by designing electrical testing methods; Testing finished products and system capabilities
  • As a Senior Medical Device Electronic Design Engineer, you will prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, summarizing information, and trends


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar degree; MSEE is a plus
  • 6-10+ years of experience working in electrical engineering and product development
  • Experience taking medical device products through FDA 60601
  • Experience with electronics design tools such as schematic capture (Altium, OrCAD)
  • Experience with Analog Design
  • Experience with small signals and signal conditioning.
  • Knowledge of safety, reliability, and EMC when it comes to electrical products
  • Experience with IEC 60601 and familiarity with design to handle defibrillation
  • Experience bringing up a diagnostic medical system through regulatory testing and into clinical use
  • Experience working with SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, and other interface protocols
  • Understanding and knowledge of PLL, DDS, ADC, DAC, power supply design, and monitoring
  • System design with low noise characteristics
  • Knowledge of analog signal chain
  • Experience with low noise analog circuit design
  • A cultivator of innovation who creates and fosters new ways for the organization to be successful
  • Someone with a proven ability to maneuver through ambiguity and build products from the ground up
  • Knowledge of the electrophysiology area or similar space is a plus
