The Senior Manager of Metadata and Data Quality Management is critical to the success of the MGB Digital organization particularly around data management and analytics. The incumber is responsible for our Report and Data Catalog platform as well as our Data Quality platform strategy. This role will collaborate with the leader of our Master Data Management team to ensure there are good synergies across each platform.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering and delivery of enterprise report and data catalog within various platforms including Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, Tableau, and Collibra.
  • Work with Data Quality Lead to identify critical data elements for various use cases, implement them within Cloud Informatica Data Quality tool and surface the results within Collibra platform using API integrations
  • Collaborate with Data Governance COE to support the technology needs of various data governance platforms.
  • Lead capabilities that enhance data quality and prevent bad data propagation to downstream processes.
  • Lead engineering and delivery of data lineage capabilities intended to trace data usage across MGB Data Platforms.
  • Acts as a business and technical owner and manage long-term and short-term strategic initiatives for products within technical data management paradigm.
  • Works with cross-functional, distributed teams to ensure successful design, development, and delivery of a unified data governance platform.
  • Identifies requirements and use cases for the technical platforms that will support the governance strategy and roadmap; implements those requirements in one of the available platforms.
  • Provides thought leadership, frameworks, and best practices in data management tools, that are required to deliver effective data governance solutions.
  • Expert of the Collibra operating model, organizational model, workflows, integrations, roles and responsibilities and license usage.
  • Recognizes the benefits and limitations of each platform and technology.
  • Is proficient in migrating and promoting changes between various environments.
  • Manages the change management process and participates in the Change Control Board (CCB)
  • Contribute to organization-wide initiatives around Machine Learning and Automation

Qualifications
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • 8 years data management experience with hands-on experience in the implementation of Collibra Workflows.
  • 8+ years data management experience with hands-on experience in the implementation of Collibra Workflows. 3+ years of prior management experience in healthcare or a related field.
  • Active in the Data Governance Community or Knowledge of Data Governance Best Practices
  • Experience with CSV, Excel, and JSON formats.
  • Understanding of Activiti / Flowable, Java, Eclipse, and Groovy to lead the use of such s/w tools.
  • Working knowledge of Collibra API v2 and Collibra Rest API framework.
  • Participated in at least one multi-year Collibra software implementation or multiple short term (less than 1 year) implementations.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata.
  • Solid understanding of Cloud infrastructures such as AWS, Azure, GCP.

• Healthcare /Provider related experience preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Manage 4-7 FTEs and some consulting resources on an ad hoc basis
