Senior Interaction DesignerBCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Interaction DesignerTitle:Senior Interaction DesignerLocation: San Diego, CA (Onsite job)Duration: 9+ months contract Working hours/day: 8 Skill set:IA, Digital Ecosystems, Graphic/digital design, prototyping tools - Figma, Miro, Jira, Adobe Suite.Description:The Interaction (Ix) Designer will:* Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to gather and understand business and feature requirements* Know target users: develop or work from user profiles & conduct task analysis, build user scenarios, help to craft, and analyze user surveys and feedback Develop process flows, wireframes, prototypes, high fidelity mock-ups, and detailed UI and visual design specifications for web and mobile* Present design work to the product team, engineering team, and external partners for review and feedback* Partner with highly technical development teams for product launch* Ability to handle projects in an agile and fluid environment* Develops key performance indicators, reviews and analyses results, and makes recommendations for design enhancements and improvements* Researches and maintains knowledge of current design practices, staying abreast of new technologies and trends in the online design community* Provides input to overall technical strategy and technical architecture of assigned projects with a particular focus on design and usability issues* Applies conceptual strategy, actively participates in brainstorming sessions and manages projects to completion* Participating in project teams and taking part in successful, on schedule deliverables* Creating project deliverables with feedback and guidance in a timely fashion* Taking part in presenting and articulating creative solutions to internal teams and clients* Being a part of internal initiatives that improve UX processes and operationRequirementsThe Interaction Designer brings experience:* Successfully delivering compelling interaction designs across multiple platforms at scale (desktop, tablet and mobile)* Fostering a culture of innovative thinking with a strong bias towards development and career growth* Generating actionable insights and designs that drive engagement through personalization* Applying business acumen to challenges and developing solutions that reflect solid judgment* Collaborating and influencing throughout a global, matrixed organization* Making compelling business cases based on data-backed insights of customer domain markets* Designing and delivering products and solutions for an enterprise industry, or industries with products that are used by millionsMinimal Professional Requirements* Bachelor's degree in New Media, Human Computer Interaction, Design, Interaction Design, Service Design, Integrated Design, or Graphic Design* Two or more years' interaction design experience across a breadth of digital media.* At least two years of experience working on highly collaborative teams through human-centered design processes.* Experience collaborating with a team of Designers, Researchers, Engineers, Content Strategists and Product Managers throughout the design process; creating user flows, wireframes, and building user interface mockups and prototypes.* Experience designing across multiple platforms.* Portfolio highlighting multiple projects and your direct contributionsPreferred Professional Requirements* Experience with graphic design, and digital design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Miro, Jira, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), Sketch, HTML/JS/CSS, Axure, InVision, Principle, and familiarity with testing platforms.* Hands-on experience of and passion for building mockups and prototypes, from digital to tangible proofs of concept.* Experience of working in highly collaborative design teams, or other multidisciplinary teams.* Experience of working on digital products and services for consumer and business applications.* Experience working with software development teams and methods to bring products to market using Agile methodologies.* Experience in IoT devices* Experience in enterprise app development and formal design systems* Experience with subscription servicesAbout BCforward:BCforward began as an IT business solutions and staffing firm.
