A DAY IN THE LIFE

Reporting to the HRIS Director, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our Workday HR system is scalable and consistently integrated as we continue to grow organically and through acquisitions. With a deep understanding of HRIS software, data management, and reporting, you'll provide expert guidance and support to our HR teams, driving the development and implementation of innovative HRIS strategies that align with our business objectives.
  • Partner with key stakeholders (HR, Finance and Project Management teams) and subject matter experts across the organization to ensure high quality execution of HRIS programs and processes
  • Evaluate system functionality, identifies gaps, and makes recommendations to prioritize projects, develop business case/proposals for new capabilities/enhancements
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to design, configure, test, implement and maintain Workday HR enhancements (e.g., HCM, Time & Absence, Payroll)
  • Communicate, and train the organization to effectively leverage our HR technology solutions within Workday
  • Proactively lead and support projects, manage project risks/issues and implement effective mitigation plans
  • Continuously interact with Workday Community and lead the assessment of impact of new Workday features, coordinate rollout and testing
  • Create and maintain reports for all HR areas and perform basic analysis (Excel vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Participate in company acquisitions process by providing HRIS support
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility, listed in the A Day in the Life section above, satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • 5+ years of experience in Workday HR implementation, management and support
  • Strong technical expertise in Workday, including experience in configuration, implementation, maintenance of Workday modules such as Core HCM, Talent, Recruiting and Performance
  • Demonstrated success in technical lead within a corporate environment of similar size and complexity as Montrose
  • Proven experience in leading and managing HRIS projects from start to finish, including needs assessment, analysis, solution design, implementation, testing and change management
  • Must demonstrate ability to focus on solving business problems, requiring judgment and influencing skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail, think critically, drive for data integrity, strong planning, organization, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate influence and maintain effective working relationships with customers of all organization levels
  • Must be able to use discretion in handling confidential and/or proprietary information
  • Must be comfortable with being a self-starter, have autonomy and manage ambiguity
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support on technical issues and best practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Global experience preferred
  • Professional certification in Workday or related HRIS technology is highly desirable
