RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Arlington, VA that is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst.Responsibilities:- In this role, the Senior Financial Analyst will perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends and assessing the financial health of the company
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements, to include statement of activity, statement of position, and analysis of operational activity in comparison to the budget, to executive management and stakeholders
- Monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and prepare cash flow forecasting
- The Senior Financial Analyst will build and drive financial analysis, processes, and controls for pricing and proposals
- Advise colleagues and executive management on decisions related to the company's finances
- Create pro forma budgets and ad hoc analysis to support strategic business plans
- Demonstrates initiative in understanding the underlying business processes that generate revenue and expense numbers, and offers suggestions for improvements to drive overall performance
- As a Senior Financial Analyst, this role maintains confidentiality of information related to project pricing, employee compensation, acquisitions and all other financial information deemed to be sensitive or proprietary
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Higher education experience strongly preferred
- CPA preferred
- Five (5) years of relevant, progressively responsible experience in accounting and financial management; within a higher education environment is preferred
- Professional experience should show a clear progression of increasing level of responsibilities and technology/reporting proficiency
- Demonstrated ability to write persuasive analytical and technical reports for a broad array of audiences
- RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) experience
- Exposure to Accounting basics and GAAP
- Funds accounting experience specifically
- Presentable - need to be able to speak and present to decision makers across the campus (not only finance & accounting folks)
- Experience leading projects
- Workday experience is preferred
- Advance/SME in Excel; This is where they complete a majority of their work while kinks are worked out on Workday
- Good attitude
- Able to succeed in a professional environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
