AstraZeneca Redwood City Site is centrally located on the San Francisco Peninsula in Northern California's Bay Area. A hub for technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship. We are currently supports production of three products including Bevespi, Beztri and most recently Airsupra, indicated for the treatment of severe COPD and Asthma. We are a site with 80-100 people and 10-fold growth in forecast volumes. The site opened in 2014 and GMP certified in 2015 and the first approval came in 2016. Accountabilities:
You will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting facility and utility equipment. This includes responding to alarms and site work requests for equipment moves, site services, corrective and preventive maintenance. You will also use lean tools on a daily basis for problem-solving, standard work, and 5S for day-to-day activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- State accredited Journeyman or professional certification from a nationally recognized body such as the Instrument Society of America (ISA) for one of the following disciplines: mechanical, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.
- Minimum 5-years' experience in maintenance in commercial cGMP manufacturing.
- Prioritizes safety: willing to speak up and stop work if unsafe activities are observed.
- Strong customer focus: from understanding the issue, executing the work, to communicating work completion.
- Independent: able to work with minimal direction to meet the business needs, escalating issues as needed.
- The hours for this role will be 10am to 6:30pm on site.
- Be on-call as needed during other/off shifts and weekends when facility, production and/or equipment maintenance coverage is needed.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Associates degree in a technical field, completion of a technical school program, or equivalent formal technical education.
- Understanding and operational familiarity with PC/PLC control systems.
- Strong organization, decision-making, judgment, and team-oriented skills are essential to manage numerous projects of variable complexity.

The annual base salary (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $69,915 to $116,812. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, jo-related knowledge, skills and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity -based long term incentive program (salaried roles) or to receive vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and health benefits including medical , prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment of compensation program) at any time, including reason related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
