Job Description

The Senior Enterprise Database Administrator's role is to design, install, monitor, maintain, and performance-tune production databases while ensuring high levels of data availability. This individual is also responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases. Must have strong aptitude for working with multiple enterprise and proprietary applications. The Senior Enterprise Database Administrator is also responsible for developing integrations using the Microsoft SQL Server platform. This will include reports, vendor exports, data warehousing tasks and other data related tasks. This position requires excellent communication, technical and project management skills.

Representative Key Responsibilities

• Back-office support for all enterprise and proprietary software solutions including, but not limited to: DMS; CRM; HCM; timekeeper productivity tools; docketing software packages;

• Maintain and enhance the existing data warehouse, exports, and reports. Perform quality checks on reports and exports to ensure exceptional quality.

• Manage Electronic Data Interfaces (EDI) with vendors.

• Develop vendor and client exports that meet provided specifications.

• Develop new SSIS/SSRS packages to meet business needs

• Create and maintain documentation for all projects

• Performs application deployments, upgrades, and patch planning. Monitor job and transfer queues to ensure they are functioning as expected and provide the data required for metrics and analysis.

• Assists with resolution of escalated incidents and participates in problem management activities.

Required Education, Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science and/or five years equivalent work experience.

• Prior SQL development experience in a fast paced environment is required.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Extensive experience with MSSQL server/database installation, maintenance, disaster recovery, performance tuning, policy/security management

• Advanced MSSQL Transact SQL programming

• Advanced SQL Server Integration Services/Business Intelligence Development

• Experience supporting MSSQL Reporting Services and Analysis Services

• MSSQL Certifications and/or documented training

• IIS Web support

• T-SQL (Transact SQL) Stored Procedures and Triggers
