Position: Senior Data Analyst

Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Develop clear problem statements and methodologies for approaching analytical requests and conduct accurate, complete analysis to solve business problems. Cohesively work with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to influence the creation or change of processes across the organization through analysis and data insights. Build several Tableau dashboards to track customer experience and inventory related metrics across U.S. stores, highlighting areas of opportunity to leadership and stakeholders to improve sourcing and replenishment for better availability to customers. Develop sustainable automation using Python and SQL for repeatable processes for future analytics requests to save on man-hours each quarter. Utilize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to store, maintain, and retrieve data and schedule automated SQL workflows for daily jobs used for analytical purposes. Identify thousands of items held up in Wal-Mart FCs due to systemic and eligibility issues. Drive projects independently and communicate with senior level management to provide insights and recommendations. Clearly communicate analytical insights and provide meaningful recommendations to stakeholders to enable them to make business decisions.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering (any), Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Finance, Management Information Systems, or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering (any), Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Finance, Management Information Systems, or related field and 2 years of experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.

Skills required: Experience handling large data sets and writing SQL queries to create and maintain data for complex analysis. Experience creating interactive and insightful dashboards using Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker to report on trends and compelling stories that influence action for stakeholders and leadership. Experience with Cloud Platforms to access and maintain data sets for analytical purposes. Experience writing Python queries to automate data pipelines or processes that have future analytic requests. Experience with big data (including Hive) to analyze large complex data sets to understand current trends and influence future business decisions. Experience developing clear problem statements and methodologies for approaching analytical requests in order to conduct accurate, complete analysis to achieve objectives. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $138,911/year to $202,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
