Job Description:
Budget Title: Senior Counselor (SL-4)
Salary: $53,000 - $58,000 (10-month, college-year)
Binghamton University's Counseling Center (UCC) seeks to fill 2 positions in the role of Senior Counselor for full-time 10-month renewable positions with benefits. The counselors will provide mental health counseling services to a culturally diverse student population. These are generalist positions serving students with a wide range of issues. Generalists are welcome to apply and early career applicants are also welcome. Preference may be given to applicants with interest and/or clinical experience with populations in one or more of the following areas: neurodiversity (including ADHD or autism spectrum), disordered eating or eating disorders, or trauma.
Duties of the positions include short-term individual and group counseling, crisis work, assessment, consultation, outreach, psycho-educational workshops, liaison/consultant relationships, and possibly clinical supervision and training of interns. The positions may at times include consultation or outreach outside of core business hours. All clinical staff positions involve some administrative duties and roles.

The successful candidate will join a wonderfully dedicated and dynamic team, and will have the opportunity to do meaningful work serving a richly rewarding and diverse student population. The UCC supports its clinicians engaging in flexible clinical approaches with high quality individual supervision and team-based peer consultation. We are an interdisciplinary team integrated in the Health and Counseling department and we work closely with Psychiatry which is co-located in the same building.
