REPORTS TO: Director of Copy
Position Description:

• Write compelling copy that is consistent with the brand voice. Partner with Merchants and Marketing to ascertain key messages. Partner with the Creative team and Graphic Design on creative projects. Manage copy content from concept through final execution.
• You will work as part of a team that nimbly and fluidly works to create brand-relevant copy executions for campaigns across a variety of social media platforms.

• At least five years of experience writing copy for social campaigns in an editorial, agency, or in-house environment
• A fluid work ethic and are able to focus on social, in addition to other as-needed copy asks
• A keen understanding of brand voice
• Worked as part of a creative team to solve complex copy challenges
• Written powerful, compelling headlines that tap into a woman's voice and speak to a female-identifying audience and have them ready to share.
• You also should be able to explain how you landed your ideas creatively
• An ability to effectively convey the copy team's POVs and strategies to internal stakeholders
• A strong ability to multi-task and work quickly under tight daily deadlines with minimal oversight
• Experience documenting and implementing social media copy best practices and understand the digital space and the nuances between social media channels
• A love for all things social, have a pulse on upcoming social trends, are able to identify untapped opportunities for our brand and are eager to work with our social media strategists and teammates so we remain on the cutting edge of social culture
• An ability to connect your social smarts to other aspects of digital strategy, e.g. site, eCommerce, app, and promotional copy
• Knowledge of how to conduct social audits of competitors -you should know what everyone else is doing and help our brand stay original, relevant and authentic
• Strong organizational skills and can effectively manage multiple projects at a time
• Team player who thrives on communication and collaboration, with a "no task is too small" attitude
• Positive, solution-oriented, and flexible
• A natural curiosity, enthusiasm and love for writing and our business

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Creative fashion writer who understands the brand and is able to maintain voice consistency
• through all projects and social platforms
• Attuned to fashion, retail, and publishing (blogs, social media, etc.)
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated, independent thinker that is able to partner across teams
• Ability to work under deadline pressure
• Strong verbal/oral communication skills and ability to present creative ideas
• Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail, as well as a holistic vision

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• BA in literature, journalism, advertising, fashion writing, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years copywriting or fashion/beauty editorial writing experience
• Fashion/beauty, retail/direct experience
• Fluency with Macintosh system
• Knowledge of The Chicago Manual of Style and AP Handbook
