NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Senior Coordinator, Production Operations based in Charlotte, NC.

The Senior Coordinator, Production Operations works closely with the Operations & Technical Managers in the field to manage services and ensure smooth operations of the television compound.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manage vendor orders for all TV compound needs, analyze standard operational needs, budget and contingency plans to ensure requirements are fulfilled throughout the course of the season
  • Manage the creation, organization, and distribution of Operations workbook for on-site and studio Operations and Technical Managers; use knowledge of operational procedures, best practices and company polices to ensure all relevant details and information are documented and disseminated to relevant parties
  • Use judgement and discretion to proactively identify operational "gaps", determine and execute the actions necessary to fill those gaps on an annual and on-going basis
  • Oversee and manage hotel, credential and schedule requests for television compound vendors and NP personnel
  • Produce weekly vendor page for broadcast partners
  • Coordinate, compile and submit credentials requests from tracks for NP personnel and vendors
  • Distribute technical and logistics information to crew & vendors prior to scheduled events
  • Manage vendor invoices ensuring and confirming contractual obligations are met
  • Work closely with Logistics and Finance departments to ensure procedures are followed and financial goals are met
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and below line crews; source, initiate and nurture new relationships as necessary
  • Monitor, maintain and replenish equipment needed for operations needs in broadcast compound
  • Complete a full department inventory in the off-season, recommend and implement adjustments to ensure maximum budget efficiency without sacrificing operational efficiency
  • Travel: up to10%, including evenings and weekends
Required skills / experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university and a minimum of four (4) years related experience and/or training in television/sports broadcasting and/or live event management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of television production processes and procedures
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask on multiple projects
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be well organized and be flexible to shifting priorities
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Valid driver's license required
