About This Job

As a Senior Contract Administrator, you'll be responsible for documenting commercial leases and loans originated by Commerce Bank. These leases and loans range from $200,000 to $5,000,000 with varied equipment types for tax based commercial entities and tax-exempt entities such as municipalities, schools and other tax-exempt entities. You'll be making sure all approvals and conditions are met, review lease and loan document requests, and track any outstanding items. If you are a detail-oriented person with the ability to manage multiple priorities, this might be the job for you.

Essential Functions

  • Create lease and equipment loan documents
  • Track receipt and contact customers for any outstanding items, including invoices
  • Prepare UCC financing statements and motor vehicle lien registrations
  • Verify insurance coverage on financed assets
  • Set up escrow funds and disbursement of funds
  • Prepare lease amendment documentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Strong knowledge of general legal principles related to contract work and perfection
    of lien issues through the Uniform Commercial Code and motor vehicle titling
    laws
  • Ability to quickly learn and properly apply bank policy to various factual
    scenarios and to learn various bank systems used to create loan documents
  • Strong analytical and logical skills
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the
    ability to manage multiple priorities and many diverse job functions
  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and
    interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic
    outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core
    Values
  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree, Paralegal, Legal Secretary degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 5+ years relevant industry experience relating to document creation required
  • Commercial equipment loan, lease environment, or financial institution or law firm experience preferred
