Overview

The Senior Compliance and Forms Analyst is a vital member to the team that is responsible for all aspects of Special Risk warranty programs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure appropriate processes and methods are followed to effectively comply with applicable federal and state regulations regarding the extended warranty industry.
  • Responsible for researching, drafting and gathering regulatory requirements in support of various programs, performing compliance reviews based upon client, regulatory and internal requirements. Includes analysis of regulations and various projects as directed by Management.
  • Analyzes records, reports, regulations and operating practices and issues reports on regulatory control adherence.
  • Responsible for the performance of quantitative and qualitative research to further support review findings, including root cause analysis.
  • Handles and administers special risk terms and conditions and insurance product development, compliance filings and requirements with focus on company's specialty risk and extended warranty programs, including legal research in support of such programs across the US, Canada and Puerto Rico Reviews service contracts and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Effectively communicates regulatory issues to internal and external groups in order to ensure process compliance and adherence.
  • Provide additional support for various special projects as directed by management, including those that may involve research-intensive analysis.


Qualifications

  • 4 years of operational compliance experience.
  • 4 years of insurance or financial services experience.
  • 4 years utilizing data analysis and improvement tools.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements governing the insurance and/or financial services industry, and operational risk concepts
  • Ability to use MS Excel to enter and correct data, modify a workbook, format a worksheet, format charts, filter date and create basic formulas for data trending.
  • Ability to use MS Word for basic formatting, editing and printing function and understands the document page set up.
  • Able to develop and implement a review, research regulatory requirements, collect and verify review documentation, assist with preparation of preliminary and final reports and write work papers to summarize findings.
  • Possess advanced analytical, data management, critical thinking, organizational, research, oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to drive execution and meet stated deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
  • The ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business and technical environment
  • Demonstrated problem resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of regulatory compliance governing the service contract industry, insurance and/or financial services.


Preferred qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).
  • 5-7 years of insurance regulatory and/or service contact (extended warranty product) experience.
