Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently seeking a Senior Industrial Architect to join our team in Greenville, SC.

Responsibilities:

• Performs various tasks in each of the three project phases: Design Development; Construction Documents; Construction Administration
• Daily activities include problem-solving on both large projects and small consultations for project managers and other disciplines
• Provides a wide range of ground-level architectural services while maintaining a sense of urgency and prioritization of tasks
• Participates and coordinates the preparation and quality of contract documents, including drawings and specifications
• Responsible to review and rectify the design related to all applicable Codes and produce documents including Life-Safety, Egress, and General Code Compliance drawings and narratives.
• Coordinates multiple-discipline overlays, construction techniques, and sequences
• Performs site observations such as recording and reporting of existing conditions and construction progress
• Effectively addresses problems and questions as they occur during construction
• Writes reports such as feasibility studies, design criteria, and recommendations
• Responsible for coordination of all aspects of other disciplines as they affect the building envelope and interior
• The candidate will follow projects through approvals and construction

Skills / Qualifications

• Bachelors of Arts Architecture (5 year program) or Masters of Architecture
• Minimum 10 years experience
• 
  NCARB certification
  
• Project management experience is desired
• Permitting experience is desired
• 
  Working knowledge with architectural software packages:
  
• 
  AutoCAD 2020
• Revit 2020
  
• Specifications Experience
