Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Administrative Assistant in Seadrift, Texas.

Job Summary:

The person in this role will support the Seadrift TES organization and leadership team. The role requires considerable discretion, professionalism, and independent judgment in managing the flow of work within the area of responsibility. Works with a limited degree of supervision, with full authority of the supported leader(s).

Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Provides a wide variety of secretarial/administrative support to leadership and teams within the function exercising confidentiality, tact and diplomacy.
  • Prepares correspondence, communications, and responses to inquiries on behalf of supported leader(s) with limited oversight
  • Arranges domestic and international business travel, coordinates meeting and event arrangements, and/or tracks expenses that requires a heightened level of detail
  • Monitors and tracks expenses against budgets; resolves discrepancies, and provides reports to cost center owner or budget manager.
  • Prepares expense reports for events and leaders. Acts as reviewer of department expense reports.
  • Coordinates the end-to-end delivery of department or group events or special projects
  • May act as the department focal point with external vendors, contractors, or service providers
  • Facilitation of department and interdepartmental meetings
  • Maintains key departmental work processes with high level of autonomy

Required Qualifications:

  • 7 or more years of experience in an Administrative Assistant role. Experience must include email management, calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel coordination.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Working experience in an industrial environment.
  • Experience with the following Dow tools: SAP, Workday, Ariba, Concur, Diamond Systems, File Share Manager and Diamond Learning.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • High level of professionalism and interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Demonstrate strong logical thinking and computational skills.
  • Comfortable interfacing with community leaders, agencies, various levels of Dow management, and other Dow admins.
  • Able to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously and must be able to prioritize work to meet internal and external deadlines.
