The Senior Accountant will be responsible for executing regular month end close activities, balance sheet accounts reconciliations and various analysis related to our US and Canada plants, specifically in the AR/Deferred Revenue/Revenue and Inventory/Cost of Sales areas. The position will report to the Accounting Manager. Significant interaction with other departments, business disciplines and international operations will be required by this individual.

This position will be located in office at our Global HQ's in Westerville, Ohio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare manual journal entries (mostly at month end close) and their related analysis/support.
  • Interact with the finance team on the review of major accruals (i.e. warranty, excess and obsolete, physical inventory, freight, among others).
  • Assist with the review various financial statements analytics and provide explanations for related fluctuations as required.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Document applicable SOX controls.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Assist with continuous improvements initiatives as required.
  • Actively participate and initiate process improvements as applicable.
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in accounting required.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting.
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Very proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Confidence in challenging the status quo; always on the lookout for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • The ability to go fast; the desire to help others go faster.
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA or equivalent.
  • Experience in Manufacturing.
  • Experience with Oracle.
