*This position will be based in Dallas, TX.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Senior Corporate Accounting Manager, we are looking for a forward-thinking associate with abilities and achievements in an accounting or finance role. You will ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Perform duties in the manager's absence with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.


  • Prepare journal entries with supporting documents in support of monthly close process

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, and complete variance analysis

  • Performs month-end close of sub-module for approximately 36 sub-systems.

  • Open and close General Ledgers and sub-ledgers

  • Handle equity accounting, record stock grants, prepare equity roll forward and close out schedules

  • Prepare local financials for international subsidiaries

  • Assists in the preparation of monthly management reports and accompanying schedules, worksheets, and narratives, including Budget vs. Actual Variance Reports. Assists in providing follow-up and documentation of significant variances

  • Perform Intercompany consolidations for all companies including agreement transactions

  • Ensure variances are corrected timely and final numbers are validated

  • Import payroll activity into General Ledger, partner with payroll team to resolve variances

  • Reconcile payroll cash accounts, record bonus accrual, and payout activity

  • Record severance or restructuring activity

  • Prepare and maintain prepaid and insurance schedules and corresponding amortization.

  • Prepare quarterly and yearly SEC filings.

  • Assists with internal and external audit requirements, and requested schedules

  • Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements

  • Contributes to the annual operating budgeting process through analysis and review, and assists with quarterly forecasts

  • Prepares schedules, coordinates work activities, and performs actual work similar to other employees, however, does not conduct performance appraisals, counsel employees, or have the authority to hire, fire, set pay rates, etc.

  • Evaluate current department processes and offer input to improve or create efficiencies


Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Proficient using Oracle Business Intelligence and Microsoft Office.

  • In addition, requires an eye for business, critical thinking, financial analytical skills, and decision-making skills

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team. Takes on new tasks with a high level of difficulty.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities and attention to detail.

  • Ability to interact with various levels of management and balance multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.

  • Requires a highly organized, strong analytical problem solver, with organizational and presentational skills


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Accounting

  • 3+ years equivalent work experience

  • Multi-national accounting

  • Experience with General Ledger, Trial Balance, and Managerial & Financial Reporting

  • Experience with ERP systems

  • Intermediate to advanced abilities with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Corporate accounting experience

  • CPG Industry experience

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

  • Equity accounting

  • Foreign currency revaluation

  • SEC Reporting
