Mobile Communications America, Inc. is seeking a Security Engineer for our Security Division to support our Charleston and Southern South Carolina area. The candidate will be work in conjunction with the sales department to engineer, design, and estimate low voltage structured cabling, security, and other low voltage systems. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Engineer, design and prepare estimates for electronic security systems.
  • Complete specific project goals and objectives.
  • Handle multiple projects and tasks independently, and on schedule.
  • Work in a high-velocity environment managing multiple tasks.
  • Maintain attention to detail and workmanship quality.
  • Proficiency in depicting system drawings in CAD format and must be able to learn new applications quickly.
  • Knowledge of engineering drawing and design standards and practices.
  • Strong desire for continuous learning and professional education.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:
  • 5+ years experience in the low voltage industry.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, AutoCAD, and general computer skills.
  • Basic understanding of networking.
  • Experience and knowledge in the standards, design and installation of structured cabling systems, door access control systems, analog & IP CCTV systems, intrusion alarm systems, and other low voltage systems.
  • Ability to adhere to all required project safety requirements set forth by the company and OSHA.
  • Excellent knowledge of life safety codes.
  • Capable of keeping others informed of work status and changes that relate to assigned tasks.
  • Maintain updated information on pricing from, vendors, suppliers, and contractors through direct contact, written materials, price lists, etc...
  • Organized, attention to detail, and highly efficient.
  • Self-motivated. Team player
  • Ability to communicate and interact clearly and concisely with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems efficiently.
  • RCDD & BISCI certifications (Preferred)
  • State low voltage licensing (A Plus)
