We are seeking a creative Scientist to join our Instrumental and Clinical Claims Teams in Clark, New Jersey. As a key member of the team you'll work on consumer, clinical, and instrumental claims testing, for makeup products manufactured by L'Oréal USA.

You Will . . .

  • Organize, plan, and effectively execute consumer, clinical, and instrumental claims testing for makeup products for claims substantiation to support product launch,
  • Work with 3 rd party vendors to design, coordinate, and execute appropriate studies on makeup products to support claims substantiation
  • Collaborate with labs, international colleagues, and evaluation team to determine which test methods are needed;
  • Effectively communicate and present results to relevant stakeholders
  • Work on expanding knowledge of makeup including executing research studies when needed;
  • Drive projects from inception to completion with quality, timeliness, and professionalism; with excellent attention to detail
  • Prioritize projects workload with supervisor, performs project tracking and scheduling;

You Have . . .
  • Bachelors with 1-3 years of relevant working experience or Masters with 0-2 years of relevant working experience preferred; preferred areas of study include Consumer Science, Biological, Physical or Material Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Bio-Engineering, Bioinformatics or related fields;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written/oral), and organizational skills a must;
  • The ability to work on several complex projects at the same time with flexibility and organization;
  • Knowledge of US/ international cosmetics and OTC regulations a plus;
  • Experience coordinating product testing with outside vendors a plus;
  • A Strong statistical background and knowledge a plus
  • Technical writing skills a must;
  • Experience with experimental lab work and troubleshooting of devices a plus;
  • Experience with Instron, Corneometer, FTIR, contact angle, Spectrophotometer, Chromameter, Cutometer, TEWL measurement, 3D modeling/printing, friction and/or tack measurements, shine measurement, clinical photography, and/or Visia a plus;

You Are . . .
  • Capable of working in a matrix organization, including strong teamwork skills a must;
  • Must be proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Authorized to work in the US on a permanent, ongoing basis, without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
