Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, we want you to join our Team as a Safety Coordinator/Confined Space Attendant. This position is located in Lake Charles, LA.
You will use your experience to understand the scope of work, hazards during entry, signs, symptoms, consequences and behaviors displayed due to exposure. Will need to know how to properly use equipment related to testing and monitoring, ventilation system, communications, PPE, lighting, barriers and shields, authorized chemicals, access and rescue and emergency instructions in accordance with permit guidelines. Must be able to lift arms above head to take tank readings with a PID meter. Must be able to move stands and ladders as necessary to obtain tank readings. Must be able to work in hangar and flight line environments. Must be able to work overtime as required. Must be able to wear respirator or other safety gear and, be able to maintain and keep respirator certification. If not assigned to aircraft must be able to clean, turn valves, and support maintenance as required. Must be able to access through an opening of "18 x10" and maybe subject to areas which could cause various phobias due to height or closed spaces. Must be able to continually maintain accurate account of Entrants in the fuelcell/tank by name as listed on the permit. Check condition of fuel cells for any type of damage; and cavity, for condition of internal fittings. Work from operation sheets, diagrams, blueprints, engineering orders, mil-specs and verbal instructions. Work with jigs, fixtures, and various tooling, as operations require. Assist other aircraft mechanics as required. Maintain schedules and quality standards. Check work for completeness and accuracy. Notify supervision of any / all malfunctions, defects, and damages of equipment, material and product. Perform Production Accountability duties associated with the processing, verification, and quality auditing and inspection. Keep work area clean and orderly. May be required to work in other fields incidental to, and in connection with, completion of assignment. May be required to perform other related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
1. High School diploma and 2 years of relevant experience or a 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 0 years experience.

2. Able to wear respirator or other safety gear -
3. Ability to be subject to areas which could cause various phobias due to height or closed spaces - access through an opening of 18" x 10 " -
4. Ability to lift arms above head to take tank readings with a PID meter. -
5. Ability to move stands and ladders as necessary to obtain tank readings. -
6. Ability to work in hangar and flight line environments.
7. Ability to maintain respirator certification. -
8. Ability to obtain CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. 2 years of experience with fuel cell.
