JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide Safe Work Permitting of Corporate Facilities Construction PMO Projects. Construction projects regarding services associated with major tenant improvements, space reconfiguration projects, new construction projects, and new infrastructure / upgrade projects within assigned properties. The intent is to ensure critical business needs, related to construction, are addressed promptly and in a safe, professional, cost effective manner with project scope, budget and schedule objectives satisfied.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and coordinate projects Safe Work Permitting including all pertaining Life Critical Standard alignment for adequate project and safety coverage including minor Field coordination, Milestone Schedule review, attendance of weekly CM meetings aligning with project manpower needs and all other project / safety concerns.

  • Write Safe Work Permit documents by utilizing the Global standard, to maintain consistent permit issuance, alliance to the Life Critical Standards and confirm that all required trainings are current.
  • Maintain and coordinate Safe work permitting for projects safety, quality, budget and schedule.
  • Help CM coordinate proper project close out with FM's which include: Punch list, As-built drawing submissions, Project Completion Checklist, MOC's, IOES release, and document retention in the utilization of the Project Completion Checklist.
  • Authorized to act in a representative capacity for the Construction Manager / owner in matters covered by the construction contract.
  • Responsible for managing the adherence to construction safety standards, construction field inspections / observations - document.
    Help manage marshaling of onsite equipment/materials, and communication to the CM / PM team.
  • Develop and confirm compliance to scope of installations via the Safe Work Permitting process, construction efforts, and safety and health regulations.
  • Identify and document value engineering and cost-cutting proposals set forth by the contractors and the CM team



QUALIFICATIONS

- Require a 2 year Associates Degree in a Construction or Safety related field or 5 years of
Industrial Construction experience with strong safety compliance, and Computer, skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of multiple construction trades including Civil, electrical, &mechanical
- Strong personal drive for achievement/results.
- Ability to monitor employees of differing job types, skills, and interest without direct authority.
- Anticipated 40 hr. / week schedule or as the project coverage requires
- WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal working conditions with the absence of disagreeable elements. Industrial, Manufacturing, Office, Field or Warehouse work areas.
Ability to travel locally and work different varying shifts as projects require
