Position Summary:

This person will work closely with the RLC Electrical Engineering team to design, develop and test products for machine controls, electronic locating, tracking and guidance systems. This position requires commuting to the corporate facilities in Bloomington, MN.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the development, debugging and/or improvement of electronics and embedded firmware in the residential product market
  • Participate in the investigation, definition, and specification of new products
  • Support engineering team members in the design and implementation of high-quality electronics and firmware solutions that meet product requirements
  • Help investigate and resolve integration issues that involve multiple electronics and/or developers
  • Work closely with electronic, system and software design engineers to help optimize overall product performance
  • Participate in the validation and testing of electronics and embedded software
  • Assist software engineers in the definition of interfaces and optimization hardware performance
  • Thoroughly test and evaluate the electronics to ensure maximum quality and functionality
  • Contribute in the creation of electronic hardware design and validation documentation

Qualifications:
  • Junior, Senior or Graduate student working toward a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge in analog & digital circuit design and component selection
  • Knowledge in C/C++ programming language, data structure and/or object-oriented design
  • Excellent leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills
  • Results-driven, action-oriented, positive and energetic
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status
