How you can make a bigger difference:

The Revenue Cycle Specialist functions in a line capacity performing general Accounts Receivable under the direction of the Revenue Cycle Manager. The Revenue Cycle Specialist performs all of the duties normally associated with the title Cash Posting Processor. He or She must have knowledge of reconciling files with bank electronic funds and transfers.

Some responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Post payments from a variety of payers (ie. insurance and clients) for both electronic and paper/manual remit with speed and accuracy.
  • Read and Interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs/EOPs) from insurance providers
  • Works closely with Billing Staff and Fiscal Cash Accounting team to reconcile issues and improve processes/procedures.
  • Must be able to handle large data with Microsoft Excel for importing and exporting via billing and payment systems.
  • Process and sort incoming correspondence from Bank Lockbox
  • Communicate posting issues to Coordinator of RCM CASH
  • Regularly attend weekly staff meetings and continuing educational sessions as requested.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize and organize assignments.
  • Other duties assigned by Manager of Revenue Cycle Management;

TO QUALIFY:
  • Proven work experience.
  • Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and computer skills, MS Excel
  • Good interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
  • Solution Focused

EDUCATION / TRAINING PREFERRED:

Bachelor's Degree from a four year college or university and a minimum of one (1-2) years of experience as a medical biller and/or business office OR Associates Degree and 2 years' experience. OR 2+ years as a medical biller and/or Office Manager and 5 years' experience as a medical biller and or Office Manager
